  • Wash care

    To ensure the longevity and vibrant colors of your naturally painted furoshiki gift wrap, please follow these care instructions:

    • Hand Wash Only

      • Gently hand wash your furoshiki in cold water using a mild, pH-neutral detergent. Avoid using bleach or any harsh chemicals as they can damage the natural pigments and fabric.

    • Do Not Soak

      • Avoid soaking the furoshiki for extended periods. Quick, gentle washing is sufficient to clean the fabric without causing the colors to bleed.

    • Rinse Thoroughly

      • Rinse the fabric thoroughly with cold water to remove any soap residue. Ensure that all detergent is washed out to prevent any damage to the natural pigments.

    • Dry Naturally

      • Lay the furoshiki flat on a clean, dry towel and roll it up to remove excess water. Then, reshape and lay it flat to dry in a shaded area. Avoid direct sunlight as it can fade the natural colors.

    • Avoid Wringing

      • Do not wring or twist the furoshiki to remove water. This can distort the fabric and cause the paint to crack or peel.

    • Ironing

      • If necessary, iron the furoshiki on the reverse side using a low to medium heat setting. Place a cloth between the iron and the fabric to protect the painted surface. Avoid direct contact between the iron and the painted areas.

    • Storage

      • Store your furoshiki in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Fold it neatly to prevent creases and avoid placing heavy objects on top of it to maintain its shape and condition.
